Brand New Blue Ray Kousa Dogwood—Get One Today!
You’re going to love the brand new Blue Ray Kousa Dogwood. It’s been adored by horticulturist for several years and is now being released to the public for the first time!

This dogwood guarantees you all the features you love about dogwoods with a few new surprises. Be one of the first people to grow a Blue Ray Kousa in your neighborhood—even town!

More Disease- and Pest-Resistant Than Others
According to the story of the Blue Ray Kousa’s heritage, Cultivator Ray Jackson originally planted this breed next to other varieties and was extremely impressed when Blue Ray Kousa did not get infected with the same diseases and pests that plagued the others growing right alongside it.

Its hardy growth qualities combined with its color influenced Ray to continue developing this Kousa Dogwood.

You’ll love how its disease- and pest-resistant qualities make it even easier to manage this low-maintenance species.

You’ll Flip for This Fancy Foliage!
Blue Ray Kousa is equally named after its cultivator and its unique colorful foliage. The showy leaves are bluish-green with burgundy tips. The ovate, 4-inch leaves slowly taper to a pointed end. Making the leaves equally curvy and dramatic.

You’ll be able to appreciate the bluish-green glow of this fully-covered, deciduous tree without being distracted by the flowers. The blooms only come forth in late spring, so you’ll have plenty of time to fully absorb the colorful foliage before it becomes a beautiful backdrop to the “flowers.”

This dogwood will stand out as an extraordinary addition to your yard.

Blue Ray Kousa Will Bring a Colorful Foliage Display in Fall, Too.
The blue-tinted leaves turn maroon as the season changes from summer to fall. The purplish-red color will stand out in your yard among the classic reds, yellows, and oranges. Warmly-toned, regal-looking foliage will adorn your yard as it gracefully falls from your majestic Japanese Dogwood tree.

Imagine that color blanketing your yard—you won’t want to rake it up!

You’ll Love That This Dogwood’s a Prolific Bloomer with Traditional Style.
If you like the traditional pearl-white blooms that make dogwoods eternally famous, then you’ll love it even more with Blue Ray Kousa! Your heavy-blooming dogwood will completely cover itself in a plethora of 3-inch wide, star-shaped blooms.

Wait! Did you know that the blooms aren’t actually flowers? They’re leaves called bracts—the flowers are small, yellowish-green, and inconspicuously hidden in the center of the bracts.

The wavy bracts flow outward coming to a pointed, darker-tipped end---adding drama, just like the foliage does, to this well-loved, classic display.

Let this Japanese Flowering Dogwood bring a soft, beautiful appeal to your yard.

Don’t Knock the Wood, You’ll Love Its Look, Too.
The Blue Ray Kousa will still stand out as a favorite feature in winter (and every season, really!), because of its unusually appealing structure and bark. This dogwood has a thick canopy layered with branches. The branches shoot off the trunk almost horizontally—making the Blue Ray Kousa go from a vase-like shape to round as it matures.

The bark naturally exfoliates creating a camouflage-like patchwork of tan and gray all over.

You’ll be stunned at how the tough and artistically shaped structure combined with its soft flowering head makes Blue Ray Kousa a real attention getter.

Many Planting Options for You
This Kousa Dogwood can work well in any outside environment you choose. It will stand out beautifully near your street without the size interfering with power lines.

The arching, elegant architecture of the Blue Ray makes it a great focal point for your yard or near a sitting area. Or you could use it as a foundational feature near the front of your home—beckoning people to come inside.

The Blue Ray Kousa works well in traditional, woodland, and bird gardens. Birds love eating the red berries in summer!

If you’re artistically inclined, you could also cultivate a creative, miniature tree out of this dogwood using the art of bonsai. Just remember that Blue Ray should remain outside most of the time and only be brought in for display on special occasions, because it needs lots of sunshine.

There’s so much you can do with this appealing dogwood. BUT don’t dawdle on ideas when there’s ONLY a limited supply of this brand new variety. Buy the Blue Ray Kousa today and then, get to planning and planting!

Planting & Care

Location: Ray Jackson first started propagating the “Blue Ray” Kousa dogwood because of its unusual bluish coloration. Recently, the variety has become more widely available for sale to the general public.

The Kousa dogwood grows best in USDA plant hardiness zones 5 to 8. It is generally planted as an ornamental specimen because of its eye-catching flower display in May and June. It attains a height of 15 to 25 feet with as spread of 25 feet. Even in an optimum planting location, it grows relatively slow with only about 12 to 24 inches of new growth per year.

Planting Instructions: Avoid planting the Kousa dogwood in the fall. Plant in the early spring or mid-spring so the tree has ample time to establish a root system before winter.

Choose a planting location that offers full sun for best growth results. It prefers slightly acidic well-draining soil but will tolerate a neutral pH. It grows well in loamy, sandy, or clay soils and is somewhat drought resistant

The Kousa dogwood has a shallow root system so it is important to till the planting site prior to planting the tree. Till an area that is approximately three times as large as the tree’s root ball. Amend the soil with two inches of compost and till the compost into the soil.

Dig a hole that is twice as large in diameter as the tree’s root ball. The hole’s depth should be as deep as the root ball. Place the root ball into the hole and gently loosen the roots. Backfill the hole and press the soil firmly down to remove air pockets. Fill the hole halfway with soil and then water thoroughly to settle the soil. Finish filling the hole and again water thoroughly to further settle the soil. Apply a 2 to 3-inch layer of mulch around the tree to keep the soil moist and reduce weed growth. Avoid the mulch touching the trunk of the tree.

Fertilizing: It is recommended to test your soil for the pH and proper soil nutrients before planting your new tree. Fertilize the Kousa dogwood just as the tree’s foliage emerges and on into fall. Use a standard 12-4-8 or 16-4-8 synthetic fertilizer. Follow the directions on the fertilizer’s label for application instructions. Generally, use 2 pounds of fertilizer per 1 inch of trunk diameter. For a newly planted tree, fertilize in early spring and again mid-summer.

Pruning: The Kousa dogwood only requires minimal or no pruning to look good. Prune the tree after flowering. Thin the dogwood to help light reach the interior and promote air circulation. Heavy pruning in the fall will not hurt the tree but you will not get any blooms the following spring.

Sturdy and super strong
Color: Black-Mount
This product is very well made heavy duty no plastic parts basically all metal less than 1 % plastic. Pro's holds monitors easily and one of mine weights 19.8 pounds according to the manufacture and the other one without stand that came with it weights 25 pounds don't know what they were thinking when they built that one hard to find arms to support that. But this arm system takes it like a pro yes you have to pay attention to which way you turn the adjustment screws but they are clearly marked. Had no problem assembling it or putting it together two installs one for a clamp on the edge one for a hole. I used the edge clamp and that beast is not coming off. I did tighten one side and then the other went back and forth between the two main screws until I got them equally tight to insure the monitors would not fall. They cost way more than this arm system. Cons: There are 4 screws that hold the plate that holds the clamp screws plate. They are preinstalled and slip into a hole and slot configuration. Remove them completely and throw them out go to your local hardware store and get hardened screws they cost me about sixty cents apiece. I also got some washers and put them on the replacement bolts and affixed them so that the slot holes are basically just regular holes. I pushed the new screws down on the slot position and tightened. Now anyone that reads this I know is asking why? I'm 60 plus years old not a he-man or body builder never been actually been on the lighter side of strength. Not that I'm weak but in my day I have busted and broke things by overtightening those days are sadly gone. I did not use any extention or more commonly called a cheater bar on the allen wrench but 2 of the 4 screw heads stripped out and had to be removed with pliers. I also tried my set of allen wrenches on the screws thinking maybe cheap allen wrench no it was the screws that head that was I suspect too soft and it rounded out. Just pliers not vise grips so they were not terribly tight. I did not have to retap the holes so they were not cross threaded. 1 out of four that failed could be called a bad screw 2 out of four are cheap and not worth using and for that reason since they are a critical part of the clamp locking system I decided to get hardened screws which will probably not strip out or break the threads in the plate would probably tear out first and that would take some real doing. Outside of those screws and the expected failure of the cable holding plastic part that sits on the back of the clamp to hold cables and makes a nice place to store the allen keys to adjust the arm if needed that was a nice touch this thing is rock solid. Solution for the plastic cable holding part is simple a cable tie holds that in place yes it maybe a touch tacky but oh well hang me for wanting it to stay in place. Yes, I would recommend this to someone and have Yes, I think it is a good value Yes, I think it is going to last a long time and the gas shocks seem to be strong Yes, I would buy this again. No, I do not think the problem I had should deter anyone from buying this just be aware that these screws might be soft and probably should be upgraded before assembling this thing the first time. I would if the manufacture reads this recommend that they take a real good look at those screws and maybe see about getting a better grade. No I do not blame them they buy stuff and maybe not even be aware that the screws have a fair possibility of stripping out. But when someone puts $800.00 plus dollars on this it would really be stupid to have the problem I had and trust the other 2 screws to hold since I could not get 2 of them to tighten enough to take the wiggle out of the assembly.

Cord installation is difficult but works overall
Color: White-Mount
I have 2 monitors (27” and 24”) that I attached to my Pottery Barn corner desk with the c-clamp. The installation wasn’t that difficult - at first. Then I had to store the cords and wires and the plastic backing on the arms ALMOST burst at the seams trying to hold all of them. My husband and Dad had to step in and help me get the plastic backing on the arms WHILE holding the cords in place. Once the installation was complete it worked perfectly fine. I’ve had it for 2 weeks and no issues to date. Additionally the manufacturer assumed that everyone has a CPU when MOST people use laptops because the plugs for the USB ports are attached to the backend of the device. Now I have to find a way to hide the cords. It’s a great product that is strong and seems like it will last.

Great Dual Monitor Mount
Color: White-Mount
I bought this dual monitor arm desk mount for my wife’s computer to mount two 32” monitors. Unpacking and installation were fairly straight forward. The only two issues I had were: 1). Instructions state that this mount can be installed using a grommet hole in a desk to secure it to the desk. However, most grommet holes in desks (at least in the United States) are 2” holes. The grommet mounting option uses two all-thread bolts screwed into the base, but the outside spacing of the bolts is about 2-1/4” which, of course, is too big for 2” grommet holes. I ended up drilling two smaller holes in the desk, one for each all-thread bolt. On the plus side, this option secures the mount to the desk very securely. 2). There is no guidance in the installation instructions for optimal placement of the arm mount on the desk. I ended up temporarily installing the lower set of arms on the mount base and then experimented moving the base around the desk while swinging the arms to make sure they would clear all computer and other equipment on the desk as well as the walls. This method worked well and final placement clears everything while still giving full articulation of both arms. The unit is very heavy-duty and quality is excellent. Other than the two items mentioned above I am very impressed with this product. After installing this unit on my wife’s desk, and playing with it for a few days, I ordered one for my desk. Because of the two issues above I would give this 4-1/2 stars if I could. But these smaller issues are not enough for me to lower my rating to 4 stars, so 5 stars it is.

Great Looking and Sturdy Monitor Arms
Color: White-Mount, Color: White-Mount
I'm so impressed with these arms. They're super strong and sturdy holding up my 27" monitor and 34" ultrawide monitor. Setting up for the most part is pretty simple and easy. One of the best things I like about these arms is the cable management. I had several arms before for my setup at home and work, and the cable covers are usually pretty flimsy and just slide and lock in. I have a lot DP and HDMI cables due to my dual workstation, so these cable covers often end up popping out since its so full. These cable covers are different since they are screwed down tight with a bolt. All my cables fit pretty snug, but there is no bulging and I don't have to worry about the covers popping off ever again. I'd recommend keeping it at a maximum of 4 thicker cables though. However, fair warning that attaching the covers can be a pain so if you have to detach cables often, the screwed in covers can be a problem. If you have a set up like mine that won't really change often, it works well. If you can, I would suggest having 2 people set up the cable management. One to hold down the cover in place and the other to screw it in. I did it myself just fine though. The range of motion is great for my needs, but please note that I tried stacking my monitors and it didn't quite work. I would say it's 1 to 2 inches shy of properly stacking them. Overall, a great looking set of dual monitor arms. The extra ports on the base are a cool feature that do work, but I haven't had much use of it yet. Love that they had a white option to match my set up too. These are a little pricey, but they're really worth it!

Review of AVLT Dual 13"-35" Monitor Arm Desk Mount I do not usually rate items, except for products that are exceptional or are provided by a vendor that is above all others. I looked at this item several times, because the price was $100 less than my five year old dual arm could not raise the 38” monitor more that 8” from the desk surface and barely keep my wiring hidden. Finally, the website for AVLT convinced me to place the order for the AVLT-DM41-1, Dual 13"-35" Monitor Arm Desk Mount. I was not disappointed. The quality and finish of the aluminum mount is space age quality, the manual acceptable (ilea type); most important the I can raise my 38” monitor to a perfect ergonomic height. My monitors are a Dell 38” U3818DW, (larger than 13” to 35” range) and a Dell 24” U2412M, U. for each I use the factory power cable, DP to DP display port 6 foot cables and high speed USB 3 cables for each monitor. The assembly went without a hitch, no problem hiding the heavy cables that I use, my only problem was that my was not a C-clamp, attaching the hex bolts to the base from the underside of my desk was difficult; t would had been easier had they used a stud bolts to clamp the unit down. The arm springs had no problem supporting my 38” monito, the unit is so sturdy I expect to receive years of service. I strongly recommend this item because of value, quality and design. You will be hard pressed to find an equal or better product regardless of the price.
